Hello potters,
The weekend is about to begin. I know that many of you are sad that Play With Clay isn't on tomorrow but we are so close to re-opening! The team of builders, painters and plumbers from APS are working hard to get the finishing touches to the bathroom renovation completed before we welcome a birthday party workshop into the studio on Sunday morning. We are so excited about having a new wheelchair accessible bathroom. It's even more exciting than Term 3 beginning next week, although we are really looking forward to welcoming students, new and returning, and our wider membership through the doors next week. While 2 weeks doesn't sound like a lot, we have been missing the bustle of the studio and chatting with our lovely community.
Heaps of thanks to Margaret who has been helping me get the studio cleaned up today. There is a little more to do tomorrow, but we are almost there.
If you are keen to get into a class in Term 3, all the evening and weekend classes are fully booked, but there are a few spaces left on some of the daytime classes, including the children's class, Monday and Tuesday morning wheel throwing (actually just one in the latter) and Yasmin's handbuilding class.
We will be back to normal operations next week for the most part. If you plan to come to Wednesday morning's Play With Clay session, please note that Yasmin will not be there as she will be in Dunedin attending some of the Diploma sessions at Otago Polytechnic.
So, let the weekend begin and hopefully we will see you back in the studio soon!
